Lord make me an instrument in your hands. Lord make me an instrument in your vineyard. Lord make me an instrument in your Kingdom.
Many of us have prayed these prayers countless number of times we have recited it and made it part of our daily prayers.
It seems we cannot do anything without asking God to let us be the Instrument with which He would accomplish His plans.
Praying Lord Make me an Instrument in your hands is sweet, but how many of us are ready to go through the instrumentation preparation phases?
How many of us are ready to go through the individual instrument part test? Attenuation Test, stress test, etc., just to make sure that we are going to work in tandem with the flow of the player.
It is one thing to seek to be something different from our original self, and it’s another to be willing to go through the phases and tests to validate us and our choice.
You can’t be an Instrument of God if you are not constantly tested. You must be submissive to His Divine WILL and allow yourself to be tested at regular intervals if at all you want to be relevant in the toolbox of God.
The Instrument reserved for God must be constantly cleaned, oiled, dusted by the Holy Spirit and be ready for use at any given time. Because it is ONLY the Holy Spirit that can keep the Instruments of God clean, in good shape and ready for the Lord’s work.
David used the instruments to calm the (madness) head of King Saul. If the instrument wasn’t attenuated to the best quality cords/sounds, music would not have been good enough to drive way madness.
