The lion is a strong and courageous animal, and the Bible tells us that Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judea. Thus we are the offspring of the lion of the tribe of Judah.
The lion is always and will always remain the King of the forest and the strong man of the jungle. For you to earn your place in the Lion’s den, you must be born into the family of lions. You must know who you are in your home to enable you have full access and confidence of your position in your home.
It is important to know that the Lion is an animal that many other animals in the jungle fear and respect, because:
- When the lion roars the birds don’t sing,
- When the lion roars animals don’t dance,
- When the lion roars, even the trees shiver in aware of their presence.
Lion cub without Identity
Since we are of same stock with Jesus, and Jesus Christ being the Lion of the Tribe of Judea, it then means that we have the same identity with Jesus Christ.
But what happens when we don’t even know our identity in God or our worth?
Our question then becomes: “Child of a Lion, do you even know who you are?”
When others roar you shiver.
When satan roars, you jump into a hole cowering in fright.
When you should be putting enemies to flight, you are busy shivering and dodging to do the Will of your creator!
Remember what Philippians 3:10-11 said: “10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
Like Gideon, many men of valour are in hiding from the enemy… they are in hot Pursuit of local championship titles, when we should be international.
Many people are busy building shops, busy cajoling people and “robbing” them off their monies in every possible means.
Many people are busy devising means of “stealing” the hard earned money and fleecing people who are so gullible to believe every wind and always in the habit of seeking every bit of “miracle” they can lay their ears at.
It’s time to change our focus back to God, for a Lion cub would always remain a child of the Lion. Until we find God, we are like rudderless ships.
Be wise and let the Wisdom of God be your guide. Amen!
