To Accept Jesus Christ is not by Force! WHY? HOW?

Yes you read it right. To accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour is not by force, so quit hounding people and forcing them to repent and change their ways.

To accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour is a voluntary decision. A decision that must come from within. It must be a conscious decision and no one must force you to do so.

To accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour is to consciously place your life, your thoughts, and your all in the hands of Jesus Christ and ask Him to take you into His life, to love you, to mould you and to renew you.

To accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour is to allow all your thought processes and ways of life to conform to the thoughts and ways of Life of Jesus Christ. This is to allow yourself to be refined by God through Jesus Christ.

To accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour is not a day’s Job, except God has earmarked you and supernaturally marked you out for a change, and that’s where miracles come in. But for a lifestyle, which is what will become of you once you accept Jesus Christ, God starts working on You and guiding you till you make that conscious move.

When the seed falls on your heart which has become fertile due to all the works that God has been doing in your heart in the background, it becomes easier to fully get nourished and blossom.

Why must you accept Jesus Christ?

The problem with people of today is that we want to do the job of the Farm owner, the workers, the sowers, the rain, the shearers, the harvesters and God.

I wish to recall Jesus Christ telling the parable of the sower in Matthew 13:1-9. He was laying emphasis on the various stages of harvest.

For someone to finally realise that they need Jesus Christ in their life, they must also go through these stages of Harvest.

Listen, you can never reap what you never sowed. Let’s look at some of the stages of harvest as seen in Matthew 13.

Before harvest could be done, there must be a land, there must be the processes involved in getting the land or farm to accept the seed being sown into it.

The farmland must be cleared, the farmland must be tilled, the seeds must be planted, the seed must die and germinate, the seed must grow and bear fruits, the weeding process must follow and if the plant survives among the weeds, it would then struggle to gain from the manure on the land.

The plant would not grow to its expected height, weight etc. and start bearing fruits. It may not necessarily be the fault of the farmer if the crop did not germinate or if the weeds killed or suffocated the crop and it couldn’t make it to the plant level to even flower and bear fruits.

Therefore to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour, always remember that you must pass through lots of stages and these stages would have lots of trials and temptations, but if you know your reasons and know that God is sufficient enough to see you through, to hold and frame you, to be your shield and buckler (Psalm 91:4), then you are in for a great ride with God.

For the preacher, please continue preaching, your job is to prepare the ground, some are to sow the seed, while others are to water, weed and help guiding the seed to a full grown plant, then flower and bear fruits, while others are to help harvest its fruits.

May God give us understanding to know that To accept Jesus Christ is never by force.

There is usually something in the inside working on the outside to take the decision, producing hunger, thirst and zeal for it to last….
