The dangers that most Pentecostal Christians face is the Dangers of being robed into Religious Bondage. Many Pentecostal Preachers have gradually started changing the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ to suit their own motives.
They now prefer to preach what would psychologically keep their Members in Religious Bondage, and not allow them to grow.
My advice to many Christians is very simple. Change the “Preachings” you hear – Hear what will edify you and not what will put you in “Religious Bondage“.
It is not the amount of Gospel or preachings you have heard that matters, but the amount of the Word of God that is retained in your sub-conscious memory and applied every day in your life.
Religious Bondage is wickedness. It does not provide ways for you escape and become normal. It encourages you to see the Pastor as your Lord in place of Christ. Your language becomes different.
Your testimonies become “Daddy said this, Daddy prayed for me, Daddy asked me to”, there is less acknowledgement of the Power of God through Jesus Christ.
How to get out of Religious Bondage.
Religious Bondage is dangerous. This messes with the head, Mind and Spirit of those who are wrapped in it. It makes matured Christians to become Babies and constantly require milk.
Religious Bondage makes Baby Christians to never grow. The only things they know and want to hear, learn and manifest is “My Pastor said this, The Pastor said that” They are never able to stand on their own feet.
In this year, don’t be a hearer ONLY, be a doer of the Word of God. Don’t just rely on what your Pastor preaches alone, get back to the Bible and read and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you.
Rejoice not because you are the most punctual in Church, the most eloquent in preachings, the most wonderful in cramming the verses of the Bible, but rejoice because you are a hearer and an applicator – a doer of the word of God that you hear.
How is your faith? To get Out of Religious Bondage, you need to question your faith in God.
