Why is it that many people are complaining about Tithing? Why can’t they just go on with it? Is it not part of being a Christian? Is it not best to just agree with your Pastors and get on with life? Why complaining about Tithing anyway? Well, it’s time to read on.
Tithes or Tithing has become a form of Church/Congregational Membership Dues. If you are not paying, it shows that you are not a Full Member of the “Organisation”, sorry Church. If you do not pay, you are regarded far less than one who pays.
The truth is that Man. You and I, have unfortunately placed the Pastors, etc on a pedestal that we can’t fault what they Teach us; even if it’s against the Biblical Injunctions or Instructions.
Who is Complaining about Tithing?
This Is an Inherited attribute from our parents, who also got the notion from their parents and the cycle continues.
Now fast forward to today’s Churches, the Pastorate has grown so Big and Huge that the Elders who are Biblically meant to checkmark them are either intimidated or castigated as people who do not want to “support my Ministry” whenever they want to point out issues that surround Biblical Teachings.
We have shifted to an era where Church doctrines and Theology is more important to most people than the Teachings of Jesus Christ as recorded in the same Bible they preach.
We are in an era where you do not have to ask any questions on Sunday. If you can’t come for Wednesday Bible Study, just keep your question to yourself. Or if you ask too many questions, you are gradually seen as an enemy of the “Ministry”.
Christianity has reached a crescendo where we now have cliques in Churches; where tribal wars are silently taking over the Pastorate.
These are not New, they have happened before, and were dealt with accordingly.
Check out what the Apostles told the People “We have left what is important and started serving Tables”. Acts 6:2
Yes, we are already serving tables. People can no more correct Pastors because they have surrounded themselves with Armies of Bodyguards. Ministers must vet you and also go through the books to make sure you are current in your Membership Dues (Tithes). The Social Media has presented a way for the masses to use their voices and call these Members of the Pastorate to Order.
Complaining about Tithing and misuse in Church.
Now the issue of complaining about Tithes brings, or opens a can of many things that have been misused in the Church.
We have continuously chosen to Practice Judo-Christo Teachings. Whereby we handpick the thoughts from the Old Testament and mix them with the Christocentric Teachings. As far as it would sound convincing and Members would be happy with it.
We have for centuries been taught about one aspect of Tithing. This I believe may be because it reflects much on the side of the “Treasures of the Church”, rather than the total understanding and Teachings to the Members.
If we must practice tithing, then we must teach people the Truth about Tithing, and while at it, we should also ask everyone to start buying doves to bring for cleansing.
By the way, if we must also practice Tithing, we must close down all Branches of Churches, and wait for God to tell us each three years, where to worship him. Deut says so.
Also, I believe that if you claim to be Levites, you must adhere to the Instructions of God concerning inheritance for the Levites. Joshua 13:33.
If you have ever owned anything ranging from houses, Business, Book or Publishing Business, etc, you have to give it up, because, it contradicts God’s instruction to the Levites.
