Before He left His disciples, Jesus Christ Our Saviour, promised that He would send a Comforter to help them in the trials, cares, and temptations of life. Luke 11:13
Yet many do not understand the work of the Holy Spirit or who He is. Are you among them? Find out who the Holy Spirit is and why you need Him.
This word comforter means “one that helps alongside.” He is the Holy Spirit, the powerful Third Person of the Trinity. The moment you are born again, He takes up residence in your heart.
You may not emotionally feel the Comforter there, but you must exercise faith. Believe it! Accept it as a fact of faith! He is in your heart to help you.
Why the Comforter?
We are told that the Comforter sheds the love of God abroad in our hearts. He produces the fruit of the Spirit: “love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”
We cannot possibly manufacture this fruit in our own strength. It is supernaturally manufactured by the Holy Spirit who lives in our hearts!
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, whom Jesus promised us, that He would be here with us and help us through Our journies here on Earth.
The Holy Spirit is to be every beliver’s closest Friend. One who you go to when your feel lonley. Someone who helps you get through the tough times of life. Someone who guides you on every step you should take.
Can you recorgnise the Comforter?
Why do many not recorgnise the presence of the Comforter? Jesus has already handed us over to the Holy Spirit to be with Us, yet most people are still confused on what the Roles of the holy Spirit is in their lives.
The comforter whenever you recorgnise Him, sheilds you from all the dangers in this world. He even makes pleas on your behalf. For we know not what to pray… Romans 8:26
PRAYER STARTER:
