Why would the Clergy defend Tithe with zeal? Why would anyone be so fierce of defending Tithe and the Payment of Tithe, to the extent of telling its Pastors that they must tell their Congregation that whoever does not Pay Tithe would not go to heaven?
A Facebook User – Uchenna Makiavelli Stephen, asked a question that got me thinking. His question was: “The way Rev Fathers, Pastors, Daddy GOs and the Clergymen & women of Nigeria are fighting for this Tithe issue. If only they are doing same about Christians being killed daily in Northern Nigeria. Smh!”
Let the Clergy Defend Tithe with Zeal as Christ did.
My take:
Many Preachers can’t be bothered to teach about the joys of the Finished Work of Jesus Christ. They find it difficult to teach repentance and coming to God through Christ, more than teaching Giving to the Man of God.
They are happy to be churning out Baby Christians who cannot grow older, always dependent on their Instructions and Mercy.
Meanwhile, Some use curses, mind-control etc to access the inner emotions of them that wishes to remain encapsulated in their control.
They lay so much emphasis on one type of Tithe and left the remaining 2 out in the cold.
Does your Pastor, defend Jesus with Zeal?
It might interest you to know that many Pastors have been pushed; mandated and held against their wish to misguide their members and force them to do the biddings of their Headquarters.
Many Pastors know the Truth; want to preach the Truth and would love to teach their Church Members of the True Gospel of Jesus Christ; which is the Finished Work of Christ.
They so much desire to prepare a Church that would be fit for the second coming of Jesus Christ, but due to the links between them and their Parent Church, they cannot summon up the courage to do the needful.
They are afraid of losing the link of their General Overseers; the Power of having an express association with their Headquarters also drives many to do its bidding.
Many are afraid of how the Church would be funded if they stop or tell the People the Truth about Tithing. Yes, there is Fear and there is the desire to do good by the Bible, but no, their Spirit is so weak. The Spirit has been weakened by the crispiness of Money. By the sweetness of money and by the ease at which they command respect and Power.
There is so much power in Information, and once you have People; Christians who are not ready to read their Bible, then you have found a fertile ground to use the knowledge available to you to guide; guard, manipulate, and rule as the case may be.
Why Malchi and the Clergy defend Tithe with Zeal
Many people do not even know that Prophet Malachi was of the Tribe of Levi. Many do not even know if it was Prophet Malachi that wrote the Book of Malachi or Prophet Ezra. Lots of people do not know if at all Malachi existed, or the Book of Malachi attributed to another person.
This is not the main objectives of this Article, so let’s not dwell so much on it. The defense of Tithe with Zeal is good, but the Defence of the finished work of Jesus Christ should be the ultimate for every Christian.
We are Called Christians because of the followership of the works of Jesus Christ; so it’s imperative that we really go back to the Bible; learn about Jesus Christ and what He stands for.
The situation that would warrant anyone to make certain pronouncements that are against what Jesus Christ stands for; sends a signal of what is important to most Clergy. Jesus Christ gave us His words that “Except a Man be Born again, he will not enter into the Kingdom of God” ~ John 3:3; yet some Clergy is now saying that “… Except a man Pay his Tithe, he will not make Heaven”. Who would you believe?
This is quite unfortunate and must be frowned at. Let us not hide under the “Touch not my Anointed” syndrome, and be VERY blind in the defense of Our faith. Psalm 105:15. 1 Chronicles 16:22.
Are we here to DEFEND Tithe or DEFEND the Finished Work of Christ?
