Why did the People of Israel stop Paying Tithes?

What do you think made the People of Israel stop Paying Tithes? Has it ever occur to anyone to ask themselves; “what were the Levites doing that made the Children of Israel to stop bringing their Tithes to them?”

Was it that this Tribe of Israel; set aside by God to attend to His Temple started indulging in other forms of Businesses to make ends meet? Joshua 13:33.

It Could be that the Levites who were born in captivity were influenced by the environment they found themselves. This could also mean that they started living life like the rest of the Tribes of Israel?

We recall that the People of Israel were taken through series of captivity; generations were born, who may have desired more from God? Psalm 106:39-43. This could mean that they now sought for their own instead of waiting on God.

Should Christians stop Paying Tithes?

Fast forward to today; we have lots of preachers who have tasted the Gospel and seen how sweet their words made people feel. These people started pumping them with money, gold, silver, and substances; and they have forgotten why they first believed and what they are in Ministry to do?

Was it that somehow one of the preachers built a fork that could hold more than one meat at a time; like the sons of the High Priests of old (1 Samuel 2:12-36); and somehow, this felt Good.
And perhaps, his father-in-the-Lord never cautioned him; but sought for him to teach him the wonders and miracles of God that increased the fork and made it into a “spork“?

And somehow, this worm found itself into the hearts of preachers, and corruption stepped in?

Do you want to stop Paying Tithes?

This is not about telling Christians to stop paying Tithes. Or asking that Judaism is coveted by Christians. It’s about awakening the consciousness of Christians and reminding them of the Finished work of Christ Jesus; the need to learn from Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit. John 16:13.
